Chalice recovered

Police in Huntingdon believe a solid silver chalice, which they have recently recovered, may have come from a local church.

Police in Huntingdon believe a solid silver chalice, which they have recently recovered, may have come from a local church.

The chalice is approximately four inches wide at the base and eight inches high with a beading around the stem. According to the hallmarks displayed on the chalice it is pure silver.

Detective Constable Darren May, who is appealing for information said, “If you have information about this chalice or believe it may have belonged to your local church, please contact us.

“Any information about its history may help to trace its owner, however, ultimately we would like to return it to the church from where it came.”
