Dr Shirley Hall
Schools RE Adviser
A Woman of Kent in origin, I spent my university career at St Andrews in Scotland and came away with a Bachelor of Divinity and a Doctorate in Early Christian Heresy! My teaching life began with a PGCE in RE and History at Keswick Hall College in Norwich, and I have been around East Anglia for most of my career since.
After two teaching appointments one at a secondary school, one at a Sixth Form College, I came to Ely in 1991 for the post of Diocesan RE Adviser (Schools). Since then there have been many changes, but the work has always been stimulating and enjoyable! I'm available to schools for any work connected with RE, collective worship, church school ethos, spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, governor training, inspection issues.
