The Mission Statement of the
ELY DIOCESAN BOARD OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
FAITH IN LEARNING
We work
- to offer Christian perspective
to those involved in education and learning
- to stimulate life-long learning and development for people of all ages involved in the church.
We are committed to
- ensuring that lay and ordained
people of all ages learn and develop together
- encouraging Christian formation,
mission and ministry through education and training
- assisting the Church to speak and act with insight on educational issues of the day
Our principal activities include
- providing learning opportunities
and events of the highest quality
- building partnerships across
educational and Christian communities
- encouraging and resourcing
the work of Church Schools
- advising the Bishops and Synod
on matters relating to education, training and ministry development
- supporting the work of the Education and Training Team and our volunteers
